Job Description

A company in Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL is looking for a Secret Oracle Database Administrator to join their team. This Oracle DBA will be responsible for managing and optimizing database systems and ensuring their performance, availability and security in accordance with organizational requirements and government standards.

This includes:
Design, implement and maintain Oracle, DB2, Cassandra and MongoDB database systems
Oracle WebLogic expertise (deploying, upgrading, patching, troubleshooting)
Manage database installation, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrades
Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database performance
Plan and execute backup and recovery strategies

This role is onsite full-time at either Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs or at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. The salary range for this role is $123,000-148,000, and takes into account years of experience, clearance and certifications. This role requires an Active Secret Security Clearance, an IAT Level II certification, and an Oracle, DB2, Cassandra or MongoDB certification.

Required Skills & Experience

9 years of experience as a Database Administrator
3 years of experience in management or leadership roles
Expertise in Oracle, DB2, Cassandra and Mongo DB
Experience with WebLogic
Active Secret Clearance or higher
Security+ certification (or obtain within 60 days of start)
Oracle, DB2, Cassandra or MongoDB certification (or obtain within 90 days of start)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning
Experience with database security concepts and government standards
