Job Description

An employer in Boulder, CO is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their growing Government Services organization. This person will be responsible for will working to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities for a ground system for a new United States Space Force (USSF) satellite constellation. This person will work with the program's engineering team to architect, develop and sell-off products to a government customer. They will develop cyber plans and procedures for an environment that consists of, amongst other technologies, Juniper network devices, Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Identity Manager, IBM AIX, iSCSI Storage, VSAN, ESXi, AND VMWare.

This is a small, federal contracting company based in Boulder, CO. This person will be expected to be on site 4-5 days a week with the ability for some remote flexibility. This is a permanent, full time role and is posted at $125,000-$180,000/year based on experience level and technical aptitude.

Required Skills & Experience

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

5+ years in Cybersecurity Engineering

Security+ Certification

Strong Understanding of all levels of Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Experience running DISA SCAP Scan and working with DISA STIGs for operating systems, network devices, and other infrastructure related services (LDAP, AD, ESXi, Virtual Machines)

Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks and standards

Some technical skills to be able to converse with technical teams and possibly get some keyboard time (Linux, HBSS/Trellix, ACAS (Nessus, Tennable, etc.), Windows Server (2019+)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Cybersecurity engineering experience with embedded systems development for DoD

Experience with cyber tools, including ACAS and HBSS

Ability to prepare and brief presentations derived from data collected from system seeking ATO
