A company in Greenwood Village, CO is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join their team. They will join the Video Delivery Platform Engineering team, which develops the software for multiple advertising-related platforms. This Java Engineer will design, code, configure, test, debug, and document solutions to ensure the software is maintainable, testable and scalable. They will initially help to maintain existing software while learning the advertising software stack and will then advance into new development, and this is a high-visibility role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated, has strong communication, and is able to work independently.
This Engineer will also be responsible for:
- Developing Java/Kotlin software
- Implementing software fixes/enhancements to dynamic ad insertion software stack, including web services, databases, AWS lambdas, AWS SQS
- Participating in production support rotation
- Maintaining/developing AWS infrastructure scripting (Terraform) when necessary
- Collaborating with the team on new dynamic ad insertion software stack development
This role is onsite 4 days/week in Greenwood Village, and the pay rate is $60-70/hr depending on years and depth of experience.

- 5-10 years of experience with REST-based microservices in Java
- Experience with cloud (preferably AWS) and container architecture (preferably Kubernetes)
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL database development
- Ability with caching, tracking software issues (Jira), source code management and build software
- Experience implementing software fixes/enhancements to dynamic ad insertion software stack, including web services, databases, AWS
- Experience working on an Agile software team
