Insight Global is looking to hire a Surgical Technician for one of our clients here in Denver, Colorado! This client is known for our leading surgical services, state-of-the-art, minimally-invasive procedures and for having the best in robotics technology. As a Surgical Technician you work in partnership and learn from exceptional physicians and incredible nurses that value your skills and share a passion for innovation and outcome excellence.
As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will:
* Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN.
* Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed.
* Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.
Day to Day duties:
* Scrub on all cases.
* Primarily, Mainly Ortho, Total joint replacements (Hips, Shoulder, Knees Ankles etc.), Ortho Spine and Sports Medicine.
* Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.
* Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.
* Maintaining sterile field during procedures.
* Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs.
Maintaining and updating preference cards.
OR Suites-8 OR Suites, 11 Pre-Op Beds, 10 PACU Bays, 48 Inpatient Beds
Approx.200-250+ cases per month
Schedule: 40hrs/week-Days- Variable Shiftsper surgical volume and current unit needs
Schedule is made every 6 weeks by the manager
No surgeries on holidays or weekends! No weekends or night shifts! No call, however late stay is required and scheduled in advance.
Pay Range: $26.49 - $45.08 / hour

- Basic Computer skills required.
- One year of experience in a surgical setting
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
- Experience in a specialty field preferred.
