Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Senior Security Controls Assessor with a Top Secret Security Clearance to join a federal program supporting the nation's leading Ocean, Climate, and Weather science focused customer. This program provides end-to-end Cybersecurity to the entire government agency, and as a Senior Security Controls Assessor you would execute security assessments based on NIST 800-53 Revision 5 standards and ensure the entire program is adhering to systems compliance standards for supporting a federal client. Responsibilities also include:

- Develop assessment and validation strategies to ensure compliance.

- Evaluate security risks on systems

- Review system architecture on systems

- Ensure system compliance against SSP

- Ensure system compliance against federal policies

- Identify & document all non-compliant areas

- Support Assessment and Authorization activities

- Evaluate STIG compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

- Top Secret Security Clearance: Required to Start

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with 8 or more years of Assessment & Authorization (A&A) experience, including implementing and evaluating NIST security controls

- Experience as a Security Controls Assessor Representative.

- Significant experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and/or risk management within the Intelligence Community.

- 2+ years of project management experience.

- Experience being part of a high performing A&A teams and adapting standards to create "best practices".

- Demonstrate knowledge of ports and protocols

- Demonstrate knowledge of RMF and 800-53 control families

- Possess the knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for risk management per NIST Cybersecurity Framework guidelines.

- Deep technical understanding of core current cybersecurity technologies as well as emerging capabilities.
