Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Missile Threat Operations Analyst to support a large integrator for a Missile Defense and Space Warning program on the Night Shift. The Operator will support the mission at Schriever SFB, in Colorado Springs, CO. The Operator will operate the mission software while consulting with various internal and external customers before, during, and after warfighter training events during night events (2200-0600//10pm-6am). Primary duties will include: Train onsite to obtain and maintain initial qualification then continue to advance to higher operator qualifications. Operation of the mission software to support warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment, as well as maintaining event logs with shift details.

Additional duties include: Perform modifications to mission software data files using a text file editor, assisting senior Ops personnel in configuring and troubleshooting the software data, and consulting with users to determine software functionality. Provide inputs to operator checklists. Applicants must be willing to work holidays as the exercise dictates. Applicants will be required to assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the mission Operations Center and associated work areas as well as perform other duties as assigned. This position requires candidates to be onsite daily and will support classified areas.

Required Skills & Experience

* US Citizen and Active DoD final Secret clearance

* Basic knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise LINUX (RHEL)

* Ability to maintain and follow documented processes and procedures

* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word and MS Excel

* Ability to work Night Shift, including holidays and weekends as required on rotating shift

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Basic understanding of Missile Defense System (MDS) exercise construct within a Combatant Commander's Area of Responsibility (AOR)

* Experience with Theater Event System message formats

* Experience with Tactical Data Processors
