Job Description

An aviation company local to Denver, Colorado is looking for an Airworthiness Certification Engineer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the definition, support, and oversight of compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), and engineering requirements. They will be required to assist with the certification of products, including the integration of mission equipment to support EMS, firefighting, and rescue operations. They will establish applicable certification requirements and guidance, and coordinate implementation by technical staff. This individual will be responsible for preparing and completing compliance checklists, certification plans, conformity inspection plans, and compliances Summaries for Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects. They will also need to provide quality oversight and audit of ODA project files for initial submittal through final approval.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors Degree in technical engineering field

-4+ years of relevant in experience in analysis/design/development in aviation or similar industry

-Knowledge and understanding of FAA certification and manufacturing processes

-Experience with quality, auditing, and technical writing

-Experience working with FAA and/or ODA

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Familiarity with writing and/or editing technical manuals, repair instructions, and maintenance manuals

-Certification and/or governmental qualification test experience
