Job Description

An employer in Colorado is looking for a REMOTE Epi Data Analyst to join their team! This individual will be working on the COVID Data and Surveillance Team with a team of data analysts/epidemiologists. Specifically, this role performs a variety of data analysis projects with COVID surveillance data, including querying and/or merging data sets from different sources, conducting analysis to track and display disease trends and to answer specific data questions, and other informatics/epidemiological data-related projects. They will be working closely with the state and local health departments and must have a problem solving, collaborative team mentality. This is a 9-month long contract working M-F, 8 AM -- 5 PM MT with possibilities to extend into Summer of 2026.

Required Skills & Experience

3 years of public health experience

Experience working on communicable disease outbreaks (preferably COVID)

Experience analyzing epidemiological data including creating reports, charts, and graphs with R and SQL

Master of Public Health, PhD Epidemiology, or a DrPH in Epidemiology

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any experience working with local public health partners

Certification in Infectious Control (CIC)

Membership in APIC (Associate of Professional in Infection Control and Epidemiology) and SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America)
