Job Description

A worldwide leader in transportation infrastructure construction and maintenance is seeking a Remote Network Administrator to join their team in EST! The Network Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of computers network. In this position, they are responsible for designing computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Internet connections, intranets and other data communications systems. They will be taking care of Tier 2 networking duties like providing technical direction in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance and upgrading of existing networks (including switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, ISE, WAN). They will conduct performance planning, software upgrades, data center buildouts, and change management. This individual will be communicating daily with end users so strong communications skills are a must.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years working as a Network Engineer - Experience with Cisco firewalls

- Experience with Cisco ASA, SDWAN, and Checkpoint

- Attention to detail on network planning and projects with the ability to communicate these effectively with the team.

- 3+ years of experience monitoring network performance (availability, utilization, and latency) and test for weaknesses

Networking Protocols used:

o Knowledge of IPV/6 as well as IPV/4 Protocols

o Knowledge of BGP and WAN routing protocols

o Experience with Windows Server 2012 & Newer

o Knowledge and Experience with Current Network technologies such as SDWAN

o Cisco Routing: ISR routers, OSPF, EIGRP & BGP routing protocols

o Technologies such as: McAfee EPO, VMware, SCCM, Citrix and Office 365
