Job Description

The position requires strong GIS and web-based mapping application development skills as well as strong working knowledge of SQL Server and other relational database systems. CAD experience is a plus. The position will involve working directly with clients to establish and document requirements and develop applications using COTS tools and/or customized solutions. The position will frequently involve reviewing existing practices for data collection and management, identifying targets for improvement, and using advanced data management tools to automate repetitive processes and improve data quality and visualization products. The position will also involve modifying existing systems based on changing technologies and client needs. The position may require occasional travel to support GIS, data management, and web-based mapping application development for field work and emergency response activities. Responsibilities may also include training presentations; preparation of standard operating procedures, and other consulting activities.

Required Skills & Experience

* 3-10 years experience working in GIS, database, and applications

* BA or BS in IT, GIS, Engineering or related degree

* ESRI Suite - ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server 10.8 or higher:

o Experience with Builder, Story Map, Field Maps, Survey123

* Strong database skills:

o Microsoft Access and SQL Server

* Cloud-based skills:

o Office365 with focus on MS Access, MS Sharepoint Tools, JavaScript, Python

* Software development experience:

o (C++, C#, asp.net,)

* Data analysis/task automation:

o (Python, ArcPy, R, VBA)

* Great communication skills and customer focused - presentation skills

Proficiency with database design, database administration, and GIS/MS office applications
