A financial technology company in Golden, CO is looking for a Technical Financial Analyst! This is a unique opportunity for someone to combine their background/interest in financial data with their technical and analytical skills. This person will be contributing to the rollout of an exciting new investment reporting system. This new product recently went live and the Technical Financial Analyst will work alongside a counterpart in this same position to help integrate customer data into this new reporting tool. The Technical Financial Analyst will interface directly with customers alongside of the sales team to collect relevant reporting information from those clients and to set up their account and configure the data in the IR system. From there, they will work with the client to verify the accuracy of the data and run monthly reports. New clients are being added each week and the goal is for this process to become more and more automated over time (although the process will always require manually integration work to be preformed by this team). The analyst will utilize Blockly to create and map rules for client reports. This is a basic programming tool often utilized for entry level developers. Experience writing SQL queries or doing any basic programming will make Blockly a breeze to learn. Reports must be manually verified for accuracy through visual checks, Excel calculations and database comparisons. The ability to automate processes and data comparisons will be beneficial. Additionally, this person can troubleshoot report issues, including analysis of complex business and mapping rules, plus communicate findings to team members. The ideal candidate has experience working with finance or accounting teams. They must also be proficient in excel and able to communicate with clients as needed. This person will collaborate closely with internal sales, BA, and product teams as well.

2+ years' experience within finance or accounting (institutional finance/investments experience is a plus)
Basic data integration experience OR experience writing simple SQL queries (any relevant technical experience including coding, scripting or writing macros will be considered)
Experience communicating with external customers
Proficiency with excel (VLOOKUP & pivot tables)
Experience working in an IT or software development environment
Experience working with Blockly or utilizing any coding language
Previous experience as an entry-level financial systems analyst
Automation experience
Exposure to municipal or corporate treasury and finance
