Job Description

An Engineering company is looking for a Right of Way Specialist to perform various duties in the facilitation of land acquisitions, negotiations, property research, titles, and surveys. This includes performing permitting activities, construction coordination, and restoration on Right of Way projects in a variety of locations. Responsibilities include preparing Land and Right of Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses. They will also conduct research, perform quality assurance reviews of database entries from field agents, and submit permit applications for the project team. They will assist with subcontractor management including reviewing contracts, invoices and change orders, perform project planning, budgeting, scheduling activities and establishing critical project objectives within project parameters, and present technical data.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field



4+ years Experience with Right of Way acquisition, Relocation, and Eminent Domain



Ability to read and understand title and appraisal reports and land surveys



Demonstrated knowledge of general real estate law/Title work



Demonstrated presentation skills



Experience with database system management

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

1+ year Project Management



1+ Year Real Estate experience



SR/WA designation or other certifications from the international Right of Way Association (IRWA)



Real Estate Broker or Sales license preferred
