A large hardware and software services provider in the US is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join their team. This Project Manager will play a key role in the success of a high priority, urgent initiaitve within the company's Customer Experience Security organization. This person will be responsible for coordinating with internal technical engineering teams as well as the end customer teams. That being said, it's important that this person has an understanding of and previous experience supporting projects involving IT infrastructure (firewalls specifically preferred). The goal of this initiaitve is to retain customers by transitioning outdated Cisco firewall devices to the newest firewall release to eliminate bugs and increase customer network security. The Project Manager will be responsible for keeping track of resources, scheduling of various tasks and operations, and holding internal and external teams accountable to timelines to accelerate implementation of the firewall upgrades. Each Project Manager will be expected to run with between 2-5 customers depending on the size and scale of the implementation per client.
This will be a short-term contract through the end of July. This person will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment given the timeline of the project. It's important that this person has a strong sense of initiaitve and can act with little direction. A typical 40-hour work week is expected for this opportunity but there is potential to work overtime hours. This is a 100% remote opportunity that can pay up to $64/hr. - 3+ years of project management experience (planning, execution, monitoring, closing, etc.)
- Experience managing projects involving IT infrastructure technologies (firewalls, routing, switching and wireless)
- Experience managing multiple teams/clients at once in a fast-paced environment
