Job Description
Our client is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their team in Denver, CO. This person will be joining a fast-paced team in a startup company working at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and nutrition . This person is expected to be local to Colorado so they can go into the office, Downtown, a few days a week. We are looking for someone that has, at least, five years of experience working as a full stack web developer. This person will be a member of their small engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our platform. To be successful in this role, this person must be extremely experienced in object oriented programming in a production environment and is familiar with modern frameworks (Laravel). We are looking for someone that has a deep understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, React, Typescript and Python to create custom solutions, plugins, themes, and toolkits. This person also must have the ability to design user interfaces that deliver an excellent user experience and to design custom back-end solutions. We are expecting this person to ensure quality site reliability via development of automated unit and integration tests. We are looking for someone with experience in a startup environment, a creative problem solver and someone that has experience scaling a product quickly. To be successful in this role, we need someone that enjoys mentoring junior developers and is excited about building a team around them. This person needs to be self-starter, resourceful, gritty, energetic, and kind. On top of that, this person needs to be able to quickly adapt to changes and is someone that is open-minded yet pragmatic about trying new technologies and approaches. Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 4 years' experience with object-oriented programming in a production environment
Clear understanding and demonstration of SOLID principles and design patterns
Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases
Experience using React for frontend development
Experience developing with PHP using Laravel, React, Typescript, GraphQL and Python
Unit Testing experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Architected medium-sized production solutions from the ground up and seen it through to deployment
Experience consuming and or building REST APIs
Contributed to open source projects
Previous work in a healthcare, benefits, or wellness-focused company.
