Job Description

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in Denver, CO. This person will be joining a fast paced team in a startup company. This person is expected to be local to Colorado so they can go into the office, in Downtown, a 3 days a week and be a pillar in building a great culture for this growing company. We are looking for someone who is excited about an opportunity to work on the future of large language models, specifically within supporting food health and nutrition. We expect this person to have, at least, 3 years of experience managing data pipelines, someone who has a solid understanding of object oriented languages (python, Java, etc) and has familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.). To be successful in this role we need someone that has experience with large-scale databases and has a deep understanding of complex data pipelines. This person will be supporting a data pipeline tool for helping transform data into a consistent, clean format, as well as, automating processes for deciding recommendations and delivering insights that educate their users. Currently, this team is manually writing ETL scripts and they are hoping this person can provide guidance and an opinion on the best ETL tools to implement in the future. This person needs to be self-starter, resourceful, gritty, competitive, energetic and kind. To be successful in this role, this person needs to be comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to rapidly changing situations. Required Skills & Experience

3+ years managing data pipelines

Driven data professional that is motivated to build a great product and great codebase in a fast-paced environment

Understanding of object-oriented languages (Python, Java, etc.)

Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)

Understanding of complex data pipelines

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in a startup environment

Experience successfully implementing an ETL tool
