Localization Project Coordinator - Marketing Multimedia Contract

The Localization teams strive to make sure WhatsApp feels like a local product by ensuring its available and high quality in up to 60 languages. As a Localization Project coordinator you will help deliver a great user experience to our international audience. You will gain experience and make an impact in a fast-growing organization.

Job Responsibilities:
Plan and manage localization schedules collaborating cross-functionally with other Localization PMs Vendor Managers Localization Vendors and Linguists to define requirements and manage timelines.
Support the Localization Program Management team with execution on a variety of projects for Marketing and Multimedia content image video web.
Use and navigate proprietary CMS and Project Management tools independently to kick off translation requests to Memsource and proprietary CAT tools.
Analyze current pain points in workflows and tools provide suggestions for improvements and pilot implementation of new processes.
Responsible for the end-to-end localization process of marketing and multimedia content within our CMS and proprietary CAT tools.
Set-up submission and monitoring of translation requests through proprietary CMS and Project Management tools and follow through in Memsource and proprietary CAT tools.
Brief linguists by providing them with documentation context and reference material and support to ensure they are in the best conditions to produce high quality content.
Ensure content is translated on time and follow up with individual linguists to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor address or escalate content-specific queries from linguists.
Report and escalate issues in a timely manner and work with XFN teams to ensure timely fixes to meet the delivery schedules
Effectively communicate with non-technical and technical stakeholders across multiple business units by setting clear expectations for stakeholders and linguists.
Communicate instructions in a clear and timely manner ensuring deadlines are met.
Make independent decisions and work well under pressure in the face of ambiguity and aggressive deadlines.
Implement quality controls before delivering the assets and actively follow-up with vendors if improvements need to be implemented.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of localization project coordination experience
3 years experience in multimedia localization
BA or equivalent
Experience with localization platforms file formats and CAT tools or any similar in-house localization tools and platform that manages and/or automates the translation workflow
Experience working with DTP and different file types such as psd AI aep
Strong technical problem-solving and bugs investigation skills
Ability to communicate cross-functionally and to diverse stakeholders.
Ability to stay focused under pressure prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated knowledge of internationalization and localization standards and best practices
Experience working with remote teams in different timezones

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience in marketing and multimedia localization Localization Program Management or management of Localization Technology Solutions
Experience with SQL
Hands-on experience with Memsource and thorough understanding of project set-up project assignment and tracking for large and complex projects in Memsource
Experience with setting and managing TMs term bases and linguistic assets in TMS for complex projects in Memsource
Understanding of localization needs and challenges for RTL Indic and African languages
