An employer in San Diego is looking for a SCADA Engineer / Controls Engineer to join their team. This employer is the hub of the wheel, the go-to 1st line of command for all troubleshooting needs within the controls scheme. This person will directly work with the Operations and Management team and act as a liaison among vendors. This engineer will spend 30% of their day-to-day supporting clients throughout the project regarding troubleshooting and solutions management; 10% working within OSIsoft PI on data management and performance optimization; 10% partnering with project delivery team on grid control input; 15% optimizing SCADA systems and ensuring continuous improvement of systems controls; and 25% maintaining and supporting SLA management. This person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This person can sit and work remotely but will be expected to function off West Coast hours (PST).
2 -- 5+ years of controls experience (SCADA, PPC, DCS, PLC)
2 -- 5+ years of experience utilizing and developing application software in OSIsoft / PI Systems; experience with data management
2 -- 5 years of experience in the energy, power systems, grid technology field
Experience working with Confluence and Dynamics 365
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Electrical or Mechanical AS or BS
