Job Description

An employer in the San Diego area is looking for a REMOTE Front-End Developer to join their Web and eCommerce organization. This person will be a part of the Operations and Development team and will assist in directly supporting the company's website redesign project, as well as marketing initiatives. They will help bridge the gap between a Java backend and HTML designs, and work with a team building and implementing a design system across an entire web application. They will build everything from dynamic visual interaction to full SPAs using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including querying data from various sources and APIs. Additionally, they will work with back-end web developers and designers to apply style and user interface design to web applications and pages. This person will not be a designer but should be able to provide design feedback and make recommendations for improving websites and workflows. They will be a true developer who can prioritize and manage critical project milestones and deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), preferably version 6.5, to build websites and/or applications

2+ years of experience using a SPA (single page application) framework (Angular/Vue/React) to build web applications

2+ years of experience coding in Vanilla JavaScript

Proficient coding skills in HTML and CSS3

Strong knowledge of creating and querying APIs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working with CSS Frameworks (i.e., Foundation, Material)

Understanding of Java or experience working with systems written in Java

Experience developing and applying design patterns

Knowledge of site performance enhancements

Experience creating and/or using web components to create reusable HTML elements
