The Field Applications Engineer is a part of that streamlined delivery process and must be very knowledgeable in commercial electrical, commercial mechanical systems, and building automation systems. This position is an subject matter expert in the application of energy control systems, RS485 networks, BAS communications such as BacNet, and troubleshooting of such systems. A Field Applications Engineer's responsibility includes supporting installation subcontractors in the proper installation and operation of our systems, supporting GP service operations, and supporting GP Sales organization when necessary. This position is a field position expected to be in the field daily with some light office work primarily in a sole role.
5+ years of experience in a field service position and/or service support position -- Electrical, HVAC, Controls or combination of the three.
Understanding of building automation, HVAC and electrical systems required
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to communicate effectively in a technical environment
OSHA 10 Hour and OSHA 30 Hour -- if not already received, then willing to take course
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
