A large healthcare provider is looking for a Step-down/DOU RN to join their team. This hospital focuses on providing high-quality health care to a variety of populations within Los Angeles, CA. The registered nurse will provide care to patients within the Step Down/DOU unit. This unit consists of 52-bed and operates on a 1:3 nurse to patient ratio, where the Registered Nurse will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and evaluating patients, and assisting physicians with procedures all while maintaining standards of care within the unit. They will be required to respond quickly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with medical staff to determine treatment plan. This will be a block schedule consisting of 3-12 hours shifts for full-time, and 2-12 hours shifts for part time, with rotating weekends; Saturday and Sunday. Day and night shifts available.
1+ year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Step Down/DOU unit
Active CA Registered Nurse License
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS)
Associates Degree (ADN)
Covid vaccination and booster
Good communication and flexibility/ability to adapt
