Day to day:
The Director of IT Infrastructure reporting directly to the Vice President of Technology and Security. This is a client-facing, office-based position. The Director of Infrastructure role is to provide planning, execution, and support for all of Premiere Digitals technology systems. This position focuses primarily on internal systems and support and oversees other technical IT staff to support all internal technology systems. We are looking for someone who is not only a technical expert, but is also a passionate troubleshooter and problem solver with solid management skills.
The VP is looking for a candidate who has good management and mentorship skills. They want someone who can impart knowledge and train, not someone who is fully a teacher but can pass along their knowledge to the people on the team. They will be responsible for managing projects, looking for someone who can prioritize the team and manage timelines. They are looking for someone who has worked their way up in IT in general and is interested in getting into management and knows this is the next step in their career. Someone who understands their limitations is important as well. In the first 30-60 days this person will come in and perform gap analysis and see where they need an extra resource, etc. They will start out with 3-4 direct reports.
This person will be responsible for keeping the lights on within infrastructure and managing 3 data centers with are hybrid onprem in their 3 locations and in the cloud.
Help develop the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) strategy and roadmap, and ensure its integration with the overall IT/enterprise strategic plans.
Responsible for infrastructure architecture, performance, availability, incident, capacity, configuration, and change-management processes and for the tools to support required uptime and available SLAs.
Responsible for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure.
Develop and maintain an Operations sourcing strategy and provide strategic oversight for vendor/partner relationship management.
Develop, maintain, and continually update technology operations and support standard operating procedures and detailed environmental documentation based on industry best practices.
Provide expertise and oversight during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, migrations, and maintenance.
Manage a talented team of IT professionals based throughout the U.S. and India in support of all infrastructure needs.
Be the IT Infrastructure liaison for all internal Production, Security and DevOps tasks and projects with regard to operational needs.
Manage daily operations on premise and cloud infrastructure, storage, network, servers, database related equipment and software.
Identify business process and practices that can be improved and develop service improvement plans that achieve these results.
Champion ITs involvement in the organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.
Manage and maintain industry standard documentation on all systems within the organization infrastructure.

Must Haves (technologies and experience)
10 or more years of experience in IT Infrastructure with 5 years of leadership responsibilities.
Strong experience with Open Source technologies, more specifically Linux server technologies in an enterprise environment. (he doesnt want someone who has only worked with Ubuntu, but open to anything else)
Experience managing IT infrastructure hosting, including on-premises, 3rd party hosted data center, and cloud (AWS and Azure)
Strong experience within VMware
Familiarity with remote access and VPN technology platforms, mobile device marketplace and broad understanding of mainstream hardware virtualization platforms including VMware as well as general awareness of industry trends including desktop and I/O virtualization
Broad experience with overall Microsoft technology portfolio including Windows Server, Active Directory, O365 deployments, VOIP Telephony and LAN, WAN technologies.
Success in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevOps that are optimized for agility
Deep understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and how other enterprises are employing them
Demonstrated success developing and deploying cloud and other networks that delivers digital products to employees and customers
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate IT operational vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy
Proficient at analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data with the capacity to synthesize information and translate into effective and actionable insights
Experience in budget planning and IT purchasing management
Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage external resources
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives, as a team player, in a collaborative often ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT workforce
The ability to work on and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Must understand the work hard/play hard mentality, where expectations are high but teamwork is everything
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Preferably industry experience in entertainment or media adjacent industries
Familiarity with media specific technologies on encoding systems, digital asset management solutions and digital watermarking systems a plus.
Strong familiarity with large scale storage solutions in enterprise environments (they have EMC Isilon)
