Job Description
A global manufacturer of precision industrial equipment and technology solutions is seeking a Technical Writer II to support internal engineering and production documentation for both existing products and new product development. This role will work closely with engineers and production operators to document how complex machinery is assembled, tested, and operated, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. The Technical Writer will translate highly technical information and engineering terminology into clear, user-friendly procedures and work instructions for manufacturing teams. This is an onsite role within a hands-on production environment.

Required Skills & Experience
• 2–4 years of technical writing, manufacturing documentation, or related technical experience.
• Experience creating or updating manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, assembly procedures, test procedures, SOPs, or process documentation.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex equipment and translate engineering terminology into clear, easy-to-follow instructions.
• Experience working with engineers, manufacturing teams, production operators, or other technical SMEs to gather and validate information.
• Strong Microsoft Word proficiency with experience formatting, editing, and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience taking basic technical/product photography and editing images for use in work instructions or technical documentation.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, CAD, or interpreting mechanical drawings and assemblies.
• Experience with SAP, MasterControl, PLM, document-control, or similar manufacturing systems.
• Experience within medical device, regulated manufacturing, or complex industrial equipment environments.
• Hands-on experience working directly with machinery, assembly processes, or production-floor operations.
