Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission-critical DoD program in San Diego, CA. This individual will play a key role in automating, deploying, and managing enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments within a highly secure environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, GitOps methodologies, and building reliable CI/CD pipelines that support secure software delivery.

This engineer will collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Development, and Operations teams to improve deployment efficiency, strengthen platform resiliency, and support application lifecycle management across multiple engineering environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation solutions utilizing Ansible and GitOps methodologies
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise platform and application deployments
Develop automation for deployment, configuration, validation, and maintenance of Kubernetes-based applications and services
Support application onboarding through development, integration, testing, staging, and production environments
Maintain GitOps workflows and deployment processes supporting application lifecycle management
Enhance governance processes for application promotion and deployment across engineering environments
Identify inefficiencies within existing DevSecOps processes and implement automation to improve reliability and operational efficiency
Partner with application vendors and software development teams to integrate applications into enterprise platforms
Develop and maintain configuration management automation and compliance reporting capabilities
Create automated solutions for operating system configuration, platform provisioning, infrastructure validation, and application deployment
Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
Troubleshoot deployment issues and implement scalable solutions to improve platform performance and resiliency
Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures supporting developed solutions

Required Skills & Experience

* TS/SCI
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field and 10+ years of experience; OR
Master's degree and 5+ years of experience; OR
15+ years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree
* Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments and containerized applications
* Experience implementing GitOps methodologies and Git-based development workflows
* Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms)
* Experience with Helm, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies
* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and SDLC methodologies
* Experience supporting Linux enterprise environments
