Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Officer to oversee HR operations, payroll administration, light accounting functions, and multi-state compliance efforts. This individual will play a critical role in supporting employees, maintaining compliance, and ensuring efficient day-to-day HR and payroll processes.

Human Resources
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and management HR-related inquiries.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, offer letters, background checks, and exit interviews.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Support employee relations matters and assist managers with performance management documentation.
• Coordinate employee benefits administration, enrollments, and annual open enrollment activities.
• Assist with employee handbook updates, policy development, and implementation of HR best practices.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure organizational compliance.


Payroll & Compliance
• Process payroll accurately and timely for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees using Paycor.
• Manage contractor payroll utilizing QuickBooks Desktop.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements.


Accounting Support
• Perform light accounting functions, including payroll-related reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Assist with bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks as needed.
• Support internal reporting and documentation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Required
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience with direct payroll responsibilities.
• Experience processing payroll through systems such as Paycor, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll administration and employment law compliance.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop.
• Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience within the insurance industry.
