Job Description
One of Insight Global's aerospace and defense customers is looking to hire two Supplier Quality Engineers to support a growing supplier quality organization in Irvine, CA. These individuals will be responsible for navigating internal quality systems and reviewing supplier rejections and non-conformances across multiple suppliers. They will lead root cause investigations, drive corrective and preventive actions, and work closely with suppliers to improve quality performance and reduce recurring issues. This role will partner heavily with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure supplier-related issues are resolved quickly and do not impact production or customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning high-visibility supplier quality issues from investigation through resolution while driving long-term process improvements across the supplier base.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related)
• 8+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Supplier Development experience
• Strong Root Cause Analysis experience (8D, A3, RCA, CAPA, DMAIC, etc.)
• Experience driving Corrective and Preventive Actions with external suppliers
• Experience reviewing supplier rejections, non-conformances, and quality escapes
• Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Suppliers
• Experience managing multiple supplier issues simultaneously
• ITAR eligible
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Aerospace or Defense industry experience
• AS9100 / AS9102 experience
• Supplier auditing experience
• SAP experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments
