Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Accountant III to join the Accounting Operations team of a leading financial services organization. This individual will be responsible for performing complex account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, analyzing general ledger activity, and partnering with internal business groups to ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies while supporting audits, new business initiatives, and process improvements.
- Perform accurate and timely monthly reconciliations, including lease portfolios, bank accounts, and securitization-related GL accounts across multiple business units
- Complete daily general ledger-to-system reconciliations and investigate out-of-balance conditions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account analyses, and fluctuation reporting
- Prepare quarterly audit schedules, reporting packages, and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors
- Partner with business operations and finance teams to determine accounting requirements for new programs and system enhancements
- Participate in system and user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts and document testing results for accounting initiatives
- Analyze general ledger accounts to identify errors, recommend corrective actions, and support process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Accounts Payable, IT, and Audit teams to resolve accounting issues and support reporting requirements
Pay Range: $30-$33 HR

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 1+ years of experience in accounting
- Experience performing account reconciliations and general ledger analysis
- Experience supporting month end and year end close processes
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with the ability to identify and resolve out of balance conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Oracle or Peoplesoft
- Background in automotive finance, consumer lending, leasing, or financial services accounting
