Job Description

We are seeking a Data Project Manager / Scrum Master to support the delivery of data and analytics initiatives across data engineering, analytics, product, and business teams. This individual will partner closely with technical leadership to coordinate project execution, drive Agile processes, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure successful delivery of data-focused projects.
The ideal candidate has experience working directly with data engineering and analytics teams, understands the data lifecycle, and can effectively bridge communication between technical and business stakeholders while driving projects from planning through execution.

Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple data and analytics projects from initiation through delivery.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner with data engineers, analysts, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to align priorities, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Maintain project plans, roadmaps, Jira boards, and Confluence documentation.
Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and blockers while driving resolution and accountability.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Data Engineering, Analytics, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure teams.
Support release planning, UAT activities, production deployments, and post-launch stabilization.
Provide regular status updates, reporting, and communication to leadership and key stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement of Agile processes, delivery practices, and team collaboration.
Support data platform enhancements, reporting initiatives, modernization efforts, and data migration projects.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager, or Delivery Lead.
Experience supporting Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, or Data Platform teams.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software delivery lifecycles.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience managing project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Understanding of data engineering concepts including:
ETL/ELT pipelines
Data warehouses and data lakes
Batch and streaming data processing
Data quality and data governance concepts
Experience working within cloud environments such as GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting enterprise data migrations, cloud modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams in a production environment.
Familiarity with incident management, production support processes, root cause analysis, monitoring, observability, reliability practices, and release management.
Experience coordinating deployments, managing operational risks, and driving resolution of production issues across technical teams.
Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or advanced analytics initiatives.
Familiarity with Python, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar modern data platforms.
Experience supporting supply chain, operations, or ERP environments (SAP preferred).
Experience working in large enterprise environments with distributed teams and multiple stakeholder groups.
