Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Mechatronic Engineer to join the Front Row Seating & Mechatronic Comfort Team for Tesla in Fremont, CA. This engineer will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation seating systems and comfort features for Tesla vehicles. This engineer will play a key role in the development of electromechanical seat mechanisms, low-voltage motor-driven systems, structural seat components, and occupant comfort technologies from concept through production release. The ideal candidate will combine strong mechanical design expertise with electrical and controls knowledge, working cross-functionally with Design, Manufacturing, Validation, and Supplier teams to develop robust, high-performance seating solutions. This role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong system-level thinking, and the ability to drive complex mechatronic systems through Tesla's fast-paced product development environment.
This role can pay $75-$80/hr depending on years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- Mechanical Engineering major with Electrical Engineering minor (or equivalent electrical experience)
- 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience with low-voltage motors
- Experience with structures, structural design, stamping, and structural plastics
- Strong system-level awareness, including DVP&R and DFMEA experience
- Experience with bearing design, bushing systems, and both linear and rotary motion mechanisms
- Hands-on experience with electronics and programming platforms
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with product design release processes and taking products from concept through production release
