Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager III to support a leading medical device client in Carlsbad, California. This individual will support the Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) Catheter Portfolio within the Coronary and Peripheral Artery Disease business. Reporting to the Associate Director of the PMO, this person will manage sustaining engineering projects and product lifecycle activities from initial launch through end-of-life.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing cross-functional medical device projects, driving process improvements, design changes, design transfers, and business continuity initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and other functional teams across global sites.

Required Skills & Experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Support and execute sustaining product strategies to ensure product continuity and business objectives are met
• Manage overall project structure, governance, scope, timelines, risks, communication plans, and stakeholder alignment
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource forecasts
• Coordinate cross-functional teams through design changes, process improvements, and product lifecycle activities
• Facilitate project meetings and drive decision-making through organized analysis and recommendations
• Communicate project performance through dashboards, status reports, and leadership updates
• Identify and manage project risks, technical challenges, and knowledge gaps
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs to support submission planning and project prioritization
• Ensure projects remain aligned with strategic business goals and product roadmap initiatives
• Support implementation and execution of solutions across global manufacturing and operational teams
Must-Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 6+ years of Project Management experience within a regulated industry
• Experience leading cross-functional medical device projects through the design control process
• Proven experience supporting products from initial launch through end-of-life
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively present to and influence senior leadership
Experience managing project plans, timelines, budgets, and risks

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice-to-Haves
• PMP Certification
• MBA or Master’s degree
• Prior experience working in manufacturing environments
• Background as a Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Production professional
• Experience with product development projects involving both disposable products and console/system-based devices
• Strong leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office Timeline
