Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator/Engineer with expertise in Azure-based SQL Server environments. This is a hands-on operational role focused on day-to-day database administration, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, and support of critical databases. The ideal candidate will work closely with application developers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to ensure database reliability, stability, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and above) database administration.
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms including Azure SQL and AWS RDS.
• Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub, including source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and deployment workflows.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD-based database operations, deployment automation, and database release management processes.
• Strong experience with SQL Server performance tuning, troubleshooting, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Monitor database health, investigate performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Implement and manage database security, user access controls, encryption, and compliance-related controls.
• Perform database monitoring, auditing, maintenance, and operational support activities.
