Job Description

Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex engineering and manufacturing programs from development through production. This individual will oversee cross-functional teams, drive program execution, manage customer relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to technical requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments and a track record of successfully launching new products and systems.

Key Responsibilities
-Lead new product development and production programs from concept through full-rate manufacturing.
-Manage program scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, risks, and customer expectations.
-Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and operations.
-Facilitate program reviews and communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
-Ensure adherence to product development and phase-gate processes.
-Monitor program performance using key metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
-Partner with customers to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout program execution.
-Support contract reviews, change management, proposal development, and scope control.
-Mentor technical and project leaders on program management best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance program execution.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
-7+ years of program management experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
-Experience leading complex engineering development programs from design through production.
-Strong understanding of project management methodologies, phase-gate processes, risk management, and financial tracking.
-Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer-facing programs.
-Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
-Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
-Aerospace manufacturing experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Aerospace or defense industry experience supporting OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or complex manufacturing programs.
-Background in metal fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or advanced manufacturing processes.
-Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, forming, heat treatment, and related production methods.
-Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program financial management.
-Experience working with highly regulated manufacturing environments.
