Job Description
A technology-focused enterprise client is seeking a Lead Okta Administrator to join their team! This individual will step in as a key resource to manage and support Okta operations during a critical period, ensuring continuity while the primary admin is unavailable. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex identity and access issues, maintaining authentication workflows, supporting ongoing security initiatives such as passwordless authentication, and managing integrations across SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will quickly assess the environment, operate independently, and provide senior-level guidance to stabilize and optimize Okta operations. This is a contract role (3 months with possible extension), based in Los Angeles, CA with hybrid/on-site expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
• Senior/Lead-level Okta Administration experience
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
• Strong expertise troubleshooting Okta workflows and identity issues
• Hands-on experience managing SaaS application integrations
• Deep knowledge of authentication technologies (SSO, MFA, passwordless solutions)
• Ability to operate independently with little to no onboarding/training
• Strong overall IT background beyond just Okta (well-rounded technologist)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) environments
• Exposure to Okta FastPass or passwordless authentication initiatives
• Experience implementing Windows Hello or biometric authentication solutions
• Prior experience stepping into urgent/critical coverage roles
• Exposure to security incident response environments
