Job Description

an industrial manufacturing company in San Diego, CA is seeking an Epic Owner/Business Analyst to join their team. They will be responsible for driving structured intake, prioritization, and execution of cross-functional initiatives. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between IT, engineering, and business stakeholders, ensuring that project requests are clearly defined, documented, and aligned to organizational priorities.
This role requires a strong blend of business analysis, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery experience, with the ability to translate high-level business needs into actionable epics, features, and requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Project Coordination, Epic Ownership, or Program Delivery roles with knowledge of Agile best practices
Proven experience supporting manufacturing engineering teams or industrial environments
Strong ability to gather and translate technical requirements into Agile deliverables
Experience with project management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Planview or Aha!
Excellent communication and presentation skills—comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience collaborating across engineering, IT, and business stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in industrial, energy, or manufacturing organizations (e.g., turbines, heavy equipment, supply chain systems)
Familiarity with manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, automation, or plant systems)
Experience working alongside release train engineers or product management teams
Knowledge of process optimization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
