Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and deliver critical cybersecurity initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple security-focused projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving stakeholder alignment, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong project management background combined with a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, compliance requirements, and cloud security principles. This role requires someone who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, and step in to support project execution when needed in a fast-paced environment with evolving business and security demands.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery

Lead cybersecurity projects from initiation through deployment and post-implementation support.
Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource forecasts, and status reporting.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Manage multiple concurrent cybersecurity initiatives with competing priorities and deadlines.
Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder reviews.

Cybersecurity Program Support

Manage projects related to:

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementations
Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives
PCI compliance and security remediation efforts
New product security initiatives
Enterprise cybersecurity improvements and backlog projects


Partner closely with cybersecurity analysts, architects, engineers, and subject matter experts throughout project execution.
Translate technical cybersecurity concepts into business-friendly updates for leadership and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, cybersecurity teams, and leadership.
Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting.
Drive alignment across cross-functional teams and facilitate decision-making when roadblocks arise.
Build strong working relationships across technical and non-technical audiences.

Risk & Financial Management

Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks early and develop mitigation plans.
Track and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasts.
Escalate critical issues appropriately while maintaining project momentum.

Agile Project Management

Utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage project delivery.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and release planning activities.
Maintain project documentation and reporting within tools such as Confluence and Jira.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead project status meetings with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items.
Coordinate with cybersecurity analysts and subject matter experts to validate project requirements and deliverables.
Communicate project updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Review project budgets and resource utilization.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and backlog prioritization discussions.
Track compliance-related activities associated with cybersecurity initiatives.
Resolve project roadblocks and support urgent, time-sensitive security initiatives.
Maintain project documentation, reporting dashboards, and governance materials.
Partner with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of security controls and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience

7-10 years of project management experience, including at least 2+ years managing cybersecurity-focused initiatives.
Proven experience leading projects involving cybersecurity, identity management, compliance, risk management, or enterprise security programs.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including MFA, Identity & Access Management (IAM), PCI compliance, security controls, and cloud security concepts.
Demonstrated experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience managing cybersecurity programs in large enterprise environments.
Familiarity with Azure security concepts and cloud security best practices.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and enterprise project management tools.
Understanding of security governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or related project management certification preferred.
