Job Description

The Accounting Specialist / Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, vendor and customer balances, purchase order pricing updates, and weekly/monthly financial reporting.
This person will play a key role in ensuring that all accounting activity is accurate, current, and properly documented. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, trustworthy, and capable of identifying problems before they become larger issues. They should be comfortable working independently while also communicating clearly with leadership, vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include:
-Accounts Receivable
-Accounts Payable
-Bank Reconciliation and Financial Accuracy
-Purchase Order and Pricing Updates
-Weekly and Monthly Reporting
-Accounting Controls and Process Improvement

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s degree or greater in Accounting, or a closely related field required.
-Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related financial operations role.
-Strong understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, month-end close support, and general accounting principles.
-Experience with purchase orders, vendor invoices, customer payments, pricing updates, and financial reporting.
-Strong Excel skills.
-Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal team members.
-Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
-Ability to work independently, take ownership of recurring accounting responsibilities, and maintain accurate records without constant supervision.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Aerospace or DOD or government contracting knowledge
