Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Payroll & Time Tracking Analyst to support a post–go-live Workday environment, focusing on system stabilization, optimization, and ongoing enhancements. This individual will serve as a key liaison between technical and functional stakeholders, ensuring accurate payroll operations, system performance, and data integrity at scale.
This role requires a highly technical and analytical Workday expert with strong experience in payroll and time tracking, as well as the ability to manage and interpret large datasets (2M+ records) to drive reporting, insights, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Workday Payroll & Time Tracking SME, supporting post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement
- Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating requirements into system solutions and configurations
- Analyze, validate, and reconcile large-scale payroll datasets, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support payroll operations and leadership decision-making
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate impacts of system changes on integrations, security, and business processes
- Support payroll processing lifecycle, including audits, quarter-end, year-end, and W-2 processes
- Lead and support system enhancements, issue resolution, and optimization efforts across payroll and time tracking
- Assist in testing, data validation, and incident management for payroll-related solutions and integrations
- Ensure compliance with federal/state payroll regulations and internal policies

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5+ years of Workday HCM experience with a focus on Payroll and Time Tracking configuration and support
- Proven experience in post-go-live support or stabilization environments
- Strong background in data analysis and reporting, including handling large datasets (2M+ records preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas required)
- Experience translating functional requirements into technical Workday solutions
- Knowledge of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and accounting impacts
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting
- Exposure to UKG
- Experience with any 3rd party timekeeping systems
- Experience with Workday EIBs, integrations, and data loads
- Familiarity with audit processes and payroll compliance frameworks
