Role Summary

Role Summary:

Ford is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer focused on execution and issue resolution to drive Bluetooth and wireless connectivity features for our next-generation in-vehicle infotainment systems. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for implementing robust Android services, driving rapid bug triage, ensuring seamless device interoperability, and successfully executing official certification processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement, integrate, and maintain Bluetooth connectivity features and Android services for automotive infotainment systems.
Take ownership of rapid bug triage, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution for complex Bluetooth interoperability challenges between the vehicle and various mobile devices.
Drive and execute the Bluetooth SIG certification process for vehicle software and hardware releases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software stability, optimize wireless performance, and maintain high-quality user experiences.
Assist in the investigation of Wi-Fi stability issues and support Wi-Fi certification efforts as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on software development experience specifically focused on Bluetooth technologies.
Proven experience implementing Android services (e.g., AOSP, Android framework layer).
Direct experience executing and successfully completing Bluetooth SIG certification.
Strong debugging skills with a proven track record of rapid issue resolution in complex connectivity environments.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Past experience working with Wi-Fi drivers or investigating Wi-Fi stability issues.
Familiarity with Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) certification processes.
Hands-on experience with over-the-air packet sniffers and protocol analyzers (e.g., Ellisys, Frontline, Wireshark) for deep-level debugging.
