Job Description
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to support mortgage servicing operations and lead regulatory change initiatives across the organization. This is a working manager role responsible for managing servicing compliance, regulatory exams, consumer complaints, and enterprise change management.
This individual will serve as a key liaison between compliance, servicing, and regulators, ensuring the business stays aligned with all applicable laws and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Servicing Compliance
• Act as the subject matter expert for mortgage servicing regulations (RESPA, TILA, CFPB, etc.)
• Partner with servicing teams to provide compliance guidance and support
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess operational impact
• Maintain policies, procedures, and controls
2. Regulatory Exams Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators and examiners
• Manage the full exam lifecycle (prep, documentation, responses, and follow-ups)
• Oversee timelines, accuracy of responses, and coordination across teams
• Perform root cause analysis and track remediation efforts
3. Complaint Management
• Oversee intake and response of servicing-related complaints (CFPB, state, etc.)
• Ensure timely and compliant responses
• Identify trends and recommend process improvements
• Handle escalations and sensitive customer interactions
4. Enterprise Change Management
• Lead regulatory-driven change initiatives across the organization
• Partner with business units to implement changes effectively
• Track deadlines, risks, and implementation progress
Support adoption of new processes across teams

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of compliance experience
• 5+ years in compliance with a focus on mortgage servicing
• 3+ years of servicing experience (default, escrow, foreclosure, bankruptcy, etc.)
• Experience managing regulatory exams (SES preferred)
• Experience with complaint management
• Leadership or management experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools
Soft Skills:
• Collaborative and personable (not overly rigid or “examiner-type”)
• Strong communicator who can work well with regulators and internal teams
Comfortable handling escalations and difficult conversations
