Job Description
We are hiring a Solutions Architect to support a growing sales organization, working closely with Customer Engineering and the Public Sector Sales teams to design and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.
This is a high-impact, pre-sales engineering role focused on solution design, scoping, and customer engagement—ideal for someone coming from a VAR or systems integrator environment who thrives in fast-paced, deal-driven settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with inside sales and account teams to support technical sales efforts and drive deal progression
- Design and present end-to-end infrastructure solutions, with a strong focus on networking and cybersecurity
- Develop Scopes of Work (SOWs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and solution proposals for client engagements
- Translate customer requirements into technical architectures and actionable implementation plans
- Work alongside Customer Engineering (CE) to ensure alignment from design through delivery
- Support multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
- Act as the technical resource during customer conversations, demos, and solution validation
Technical Focus Areas
- Enterprise Networking (routing, switching, wireless)
- Cybersecurity solutions (preferred, not required to be SME-level)
- Cisco technologies (strongly preferred)
- Infrastructure design across hybrid environments
This is hybrid onsite in West Sacramento, CA. This role is offering 150-210k base + Variable. Estimated OTE exceeds 300k.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Pre-Sales
- Background working for a VAR, integrator, or service provider strongly preferred
- Proven experience building SOWs, BOMs, and technical proposals
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience supporting inside sales teams and high-volume deal flow
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
CCIE (or equivalent high-level Cisco certification)
Cybersecurity solution exposure
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
