Job Description

This Staff Product Operations role sits will be supporting AI Solution Engineering and AI R&D initiatives. The position is a hands-on, senior-level IC responsible for operationalizing AI-driven applications from early-stage development through production release and ongoing support.

The role blends product operations, backend engineering, and release ownership. You will partner closely with engineering teams to manage infrastructure, deployment workflows, and release processes for AI-enabled products, including a centralized AI platform used across the business.

This is not a traditional product role. The ideal candidate brings a strong DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering background and can support backend systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments while also translating technical concepts for cross-functional stakeholders. You will help scale internal AI products across multiple business units and ensure reliable, production-ready releases.

Required Skills & Experience

Product / System Understanding & Collaboration
- Understands how a product works end-to-end, including how it is built (backend/infrastructure), deployed (CI/CD/cloud), and used by end users
- Has worked with non-engineering stakeholders (product, business, or creative teams) to explain technical systems or support product usage
- Has supported users or internal teams interacting with technical systems in production

Engineering & Infrastructure:
- Has personally built, configured, or supported applications running in AWS (Example: deploying services, managing environments, working with cloud-based architecture)
- Has used Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar) to create or update infrastructure (not just review it)
- Has worked with CI/CD pipelines by troubleshooting deployments, updating pipeline configurations, and supporting release workflows

Backend & Release Experience
- Has directly supported production backend systems (Example: APIs, services, or platforms used by internal or external users)
- Has been personally involved in production releases, such as coordinating or executing a release, pushing features to production, and supporting post-release fixes or incidents
- Can clearly explain what their role was in a release, what systems they touched, and how the release impacted users

AI & Data Platform Exposure
- Has used AI/LLM tools in a work setting, not just personally (Example: integrating APIs, building features with LLMs, or supporting AI-driven products)
- Has worked in an environment where AI functionality was part of the product or workflow
- Has hands-on exposure to Databricks or similar platforms (Example: running jobs, working with data pipelines, or supporting AI/data workflows)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Has built or supported AI features in production, not just early-stage experimentation (Example: chatbot, internal AI tool, LLM-powered workflow used by real users)

Has helped build a product, tool, or platform from scratch (not just maintain existing systems)

Experience supporting releases to large user bases or high-traffic systems

Experience supporting tools used by creative teams or non-technical users

Experience in media, streaming, or digital content delivery
