Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an IR Designer and Analyst for a leading aerospace and defense client supporting advanced survivability initiatives. This engineer will focus on infrared signature analysis, modeling, and design optimization, working closely with cross-functional IPTs to influence platform-level low observable performance. The role supports IR design trade studies, development of test methodologies, and risk assessments for next-generation aircraft systems. The ideal candidate brings strong IR fundamentals, analytical capability, and the ability to translate complex technical results into actionable design guidance within a collaborative engineering environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering or related technical discipline (6+ years BS, 4+ years MS, or 2+ years PhD)
- Experience with infrared (IR) fundamentals and basic principles
- Experience developing and executing design of experiments (DOE)
- Demonstrated experience modeling and analyzing IR signatures
- Experience performing IR analysis using industry-standard tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Degree emphasis in Electromagnetics, Physics, or Chemistry
- Demonstrated experience integrating LO compatible systems into aircraft platforms.
- Experience supporting LO / survivability technologies
- Experience developing or fabricating composite structures with LO materials
- Experience supporting IR testing, validation, or measurement methodology development
- Secret Clearance
