Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support merchant payment integrations for a top fintech client. This consultant will act as a technical owner for complex integration support cases, partnering closely with engineering and product teams to troubleshoot APIs, webhooks, and payment workflows. The role blends hands-on technical support with light development and automation, offering the opportunity to improve tooling, apply AI-driven solutions, and directly enhance merchant onboarding and support scalability in a fast-paced payments environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps Support, Technical Support, or Solutions Engineering
- Strong troubleshooting skills across APIs, webhooks, SDKs, and payment integrations
- Ability to read and write code (Python or Java) for automation and tooling
- Experience with case/ticket management systems and -support workflows
- Passion for or interest in AI/automation; coding does not need to be strong but must be able to read code

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Fintech or payments industry experience (merchant integrations preferred)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, OAuth, idempotency, and webhook delivery
- Familiarity with observability tools (logs, metrics, traces)
- CI/CD pipelines, Git, and environment management experience
- Experience applying AI or LLM-based tools to support or operations workflows
