Job Description
We are seeking an Audio Lab and Perceptual Studies Technician to support hands-on audio testing and human listening studies in a controlled lab environment. This role focuses on executing audio tests, recording consumer devices, maintaining lab readiness, and supporting perceptual research activities.
This role can pay $40-$60/hour depending on years of experience and skillset.

Required Skills & Experience
-2+ years of experience in an audio lab, recording studio, or hardware testing environment
-Experience with audio test systems such as Listen SoundCheck, Audio Precision, or Klippel
-Proficiency with DAWs like Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or Logic Pro
-Hands-on experience with soldering, cabling, and basic hand tools
-Strong attention to detail and clear documentation skills
-Professional communication skills when working with study participants
-Demonstrated ability to build cable looms, solder connectors, and use basic hand tools to install lab fixtures.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Troubleshooting: Experience identifying hardware failure points (broken cables, ground loops, software glitches) and performing basic repairs.
-Organizational Skills: Experience managing assessor databases or complex lab inventory systems.
-Interpersonal Skills: Ability to professionally coordinate with human subjects during perceptual studies.
-Documentation: Strong track record of detailed technical note-taking and bug reporting.
