Job Description

A manufacturing organization is seeking an EHS Technician to support day-to-day safety operations within a production environment. This individual will help ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations while assisting with safety programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct routine safety audits of work areas and equipment; follow up on corrective actions
-Perform incident investigations, document findings, and support employees through reporting processes
-Provide safety training and coaching to production employees at all levels
-Analyze injury/incident trends and recommend retraining or process improvements
-Assist in developing and updating safety procedures, programs, and documentation
-Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments across operations
-Perform compliance audits related to lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, etc.
-Maintain and inspect safety equipment (PPE, first aid supplies, etc.)
-Track safety metrics and support regulatory reporting (including OSHA compliance)
-Partner cross-functionally with HR, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams
-Support emergency preparedness efforts, including drills and response planning
-Track and ensure closure of safety action items (incidents, near misses, observations)
-Maintain accurate EHS records and program documentation

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field OR equivalent experience
~2+ years of EHS or safety experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
-Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and training
-Familiarity with OSHA standards and general regulatory compliance
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
-Spanish/English bilingual preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Additional Details
-Must be comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
-Experience supporting emergency response programs and drills is a plus
