Job Description
As a Sales Compensation Manager, you are a significantly experienced professional responsible
for the advanced execution of the sales compensation process and regional commissions
accounting. You serve as a subject-matter expert for your assigned region, ensuring the
accuracy of crediting and payout calculations through rigorous audit protocols and AI-powered
analytics. You independently manage complex inquiries from sales leadership and drive
improvements to the end-to-end commissions workflow to ensure scalability and SOX
compliance. This position is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Sales
Compensation Strategy.
Minimum 2 days a week onsite (Wednesdays mandatory)
Responsibility
● Manage the end-to-end monthly commissions cycle for assigned regions, from system
set-up and crediting to final payroll submission
● Prepare and reconcile monthly commission accruals to ensure accurate financial
reporting and support the month-end accounting close
● Administer a rigorous audit process using automated tools to identify and resolve
discrepancies in crediting and commission calculations
● Act as a lead point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing detailed
documentation and evidence for commission payouts and accrual logic
● Identify and implement process improvements within Xactly or similar platforms to gain
operational efficiencies and reduce manual overhead
● Maintain and execute business processes that ensure strict SOX compliance and high
data integrity across all compensation activities
● Partner cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Finance, and HR to reconcile payout data and
ensure alignment with Global Sales Ops Policies
● Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new plan configurations and system updates to
prevent financial discrepancies
● Develop and deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis to Sales Leadership to provide
visibility into representative performance and spend
● Mentor less experienced team members on incentive system best practices and complex
reconciliation techniques
Hourly rate expectation is $55.00 / hour

Required Skills & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
● 8 or more years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, or commissions
accounting
● Proven expertise in managing complex commission accruals and month-end close
processes
● Hands-on experience with Xactly or other modern Sales Performance Management
(SPM) software

● Professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS, technology, or AI-driven environment
● Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive process improvements
● Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity and handle non-routine business
challenges independently
● Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex commission
structures to diverse stakeholders
● Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel for data modeling and
reconciliation
● Experience participating in or leading system implementation or UAT cycles
