Job Description

Overview of the Role

Work as a key contributor in an R&D environment focused on advanced electrical systems
Specialize in prototype harness fabrication and PCB modification/rework
Partner closely with Electrical Engineers to translate designs into physical hardware
Support the build, integration, validation, and repair of complex vehicle electrical systems
Ensure all work meets industry standards (IPC-610 / IPC-620)

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements

5+ years of experience in automotive electronics integration, EE R&D, or prototype harness building
Proven experience installing, integrating, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems
Advanced ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and components
Expertise with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies
Expert-level soldering skills (SMT, through-hole, PCB rework)
Proven ability to build OEM-quality prototype harnesses from engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment


Tools / Technologies

Wiring schematics, wirelists, and CAD data
Soldering tools (fine-pitch SMT and through-hole)
PCB rework equipment (trace repair, jumper wiring, component replacement)
Harness build tools (crimpers, connector tooling, wiring tools)
Diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards
Vehicle systems:

HIL test systems
Vehicle controllers
Telematics systems
ADAS
Infotainment systems
EV charging and high-voltage battery systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred (Not Required) Skills

Associate’s degree or certification in Electronics or related field
Active IPC-610 or IPC-620 certification (CIS or CIT)
Experience with EV systems, high-voltage systems, telematics, or ADAS
Background in startup R&D or prototype environments
Knowledge of industry standards (SAE, ISO)
Experience developing work instructions or documentation (SWIs)
Leadership, mentoring, or training experience
Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
