Job Description

The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training for manufacturing teams, quality inspectors, and personnel supporting high‑reliability space hardware. This role provides a mix of classroom instruction, hands‑on demonstrations, and online learning delivered through a Learning Management System (LMS). Working closely with Quality, EHS, and manufacturing stakeholders, the trainer identifies skill gaps, builds practical training solutions, and provides on‑the‑job coaching to improve compliance with industry standards and overall workforce performance. This is a 1st‑shift, 100% onsite role.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience developing and delivering technical training in aerospace, space, or high‑reliability manufacturing environments
- Experience delivering instructor‑led, hands‑on, and LMS‑based training
- Working knowledge of industry standards such as IPC J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, and/or NASA standards
- Hands‑on experience with high‑reliability manufacturing processes (e.g., soldering, harness fabrication, epoxy, torque tools, GD&T, microscope use)
- Experience working in cleanroom environments with ESD, FOD, and contamination control requirements
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS365, Workday Learning, or similar)
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience creating engaging training content using digital methods (e.g., video-based training, simulations, e-learning modules)
- Experience developing technical illustrations, 3D models, or digital manuals to support training
- Familiarity with emerging learning technologies (e.g., AR/VR, AI-enabled platforms) and interest in exploring their application
- Awareness of emerging training technologies (e.g., AR/VR, AI-enabled platforms) and interest in exploring their potential application in aerospace manufacturing
- Background in blended learning design (mixing instructor-led, virtual, and on-the-job training)
- Experience developing train-the-trainer programs or mentoring other instructors
- Knowledge of human performance improvement (HPI) methods and using training metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Active or ability to obtain security clearance.
