Job Description

The Databricks Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering scalable data solutions that support enterprise analytics and business operations. This role focuses on backend data engineering, provides technical leadership, and partners closely with stakeholders to support data platform modernization. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on building and optimizing data pipelines in Azure and Databricks, collaborate with business and technical partners to design modern data solutions, review code and architecture, support platform modernization initiatives, and act as a technical resource for the broader data engineering team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of data engineering or related experience
• Strong experience with Azure data services, including:
○ Azure Data Factory (ADF)
○ Azure Data Lake (ADLS)
○ Databricks
○ DBT / Airflow (or similar orchestration tools)
• Proficiency in Python (Java or Scala acceptable)
• Expert‑level SQL, including performance tuning and data modeling
• Experience designing enterprise databases (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with ETL/ELT, APIs (REST/JSON), and version control (Git)
Ability to write scalable, reusable, and maintainable code
