Job Description

This is a short-term, high-impact engagement for a Contracts professional with strong experience in defense and government contracting.
The selected candidate will take ownership of contract activities, ensure compliance with defense contracting standards, and support the business during a critical transition period.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including drafting, review, and execution
- Ensure adherence to defense contract standards and regulatory requirements
- Support contract negotiations with prime contractors and subcontractors
- Provide day-to-day contract guidance during organizational transition
- Partner closely with Legal and business leadership, including Head of Legal
- Help facilitate smooth handover and documentation of processes

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of defense contracts management experience
- Strong understanding of defense contract standards and compliance requirements (FAR/flowdowns)
- CMMC framework (Levels, scoping, assessments)
- Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle ownership
- Ability to operate independently and own the contracts function
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Supply chain cybersecurity risk
• SSPs (System Security Plans) & POA&Ms

Supply Chain & Industrial Base Expertise(Nice to have)
• Subcontract management and flow down compliance
• Domestic source restrictions (Buy American Act, Berry Amendment)
• Specialty metals compliance
• Supplier risk assessments
• Industrial base resilience consulting
• Counterfeit parts mitigation (DFARS 252.246 7007)
