Job Description

Their business is transitioning from siloed ERPs to spanning multiple platforms due to M&A activities. The complexity and volume of data and the need for end-to-end visibility is pressing and the Director of Data Product is building a new BA team to bridge business and engineering. This BA will work cross-functionally with business SMEs, ERP resources, and data engineers. This role will be 70% functional (requirement gathering, process analysis), 30% technical (data validation, light automation). This BA will work with data engineering, business teams, domain SMEs, ERP SMEs, and occasionally direct end users. They will be translating business logic across disparate legacy systems and facilitate alignment on KPIs and metric calculations. They will be an ongoing resource, collaborating after requirement handoff for clarification, issue resolution, and process refinement.

Responsibilities:

• Collect business/user requirements across various business domains.
• Map and translate source data (from multiple ERPs) to a target state for unified analytics.
• Support through testing phases: especially mass data validation, UAT, and troubleshooting issues in mapping/metrics.
• Previously, Pactiv side operated on a unified SAP system; Novolex legacy businesses used multiple ERPs, now cross-functional and requiring consolidated analytics.
• Key technical environment: Microsoft Fabric (data platform target), with Power BI as the end reporting layer (BA will not build Power BI reports but should understand their structure/logic).
• Translate business logic across disparate legacy systems and facilitate alignment on KPIs and metric calculations.
• Be an ongoing resource, collaborating after requirement handoff for clarification, issue resolution, and process refinement.

• Ability to independently analyze data sets (preferably using SQL and Excel; Python is optional).
• Ability to map, pull, & translate data from ERPs
• Must have been a liaison between technical teams (data engineering) and business users
